Kinesiology is the study of movement (Kinesis = movement, Logie = teachings) uniting Western with Far Eastern medicine. The Chinese energy teachings (e.g. meridian system, yin yang, 5-element teachings) are an integral part of kinesiology. As a holistic approach, kinesiology also combines knowledge from psychology, physical therapy, chiropractic, pedagogy and other sciences.

By stimulating the flow of energy on a physical, mental and emotional level, kinesiology promotes health and wellbeing. It activates self-healing powers and brings the body back into balance.

Through more awareness of one’s own inner and outer processes, more influence can be exerted over one’s thoughts and actions. This in turn results in more opportunities to shape and live life according to ones own wishes.

In kinesiology the central working tool is the muscle test. The muscle test is a biofeedback system of the organism and reflects its state, in which stressful as well as stimulating influences result in a change of the energy flow and in the muscle tension. It provides information about possible internal and external influences such as stressors, thoughts, actions and imbalances. It serves as a gentle means of communication between the therapist and the client. By means of a muscle test, possible causes of imbalances are determined and brought into flow, using methods from kinesiology.

The beauty of kinesiology is its positive approach. It’s not about searching for mistakes and judging situations, but about activating inner and outer resources, to develop solutions together. In each session, together with the client, a goal is set, on which the focus is placed.
